# Fixed Staking Plans

Aurex Gold provides two fixed-term staking plans that combine traditional investment with physical gold allocation. Both plans deliver a **2X return at maturity** based on the user's original investment.

## Staking Plans Overview

| Staking Plan | Gold Allocation at Investment | Maturity Return |
| ------------ | ----------------------------- | --------------- |
| **2 Years**  | 25% of investment             | **2X**          |
| **3 Years**  | 50% of investment             | **2X**          |

## How It Works

When a user invests, a fixed percentage of the investment is used to purchase gold at the current market price on the day of investment. The gold quantity and purchase price are recorded and locked for the selected staking period.

* **2-Year Plan:** 25% of the investment is used to purchase gold at current market price
* **3-Year Plan:** 50% of the investment is used to purchase gold at current market price
* The gold quantity and purchase price are recorded and locked for the selected period
* At maturity, the user receives a 2X return on their original investment

## Example — 2-Year Plan

Suppose a user invests **$1,000**:

* 25% of $1,000 = **$250** is used to purchase gold at current market price
* The gold quantity and purchase price are recorded and locked
* Investment period: **2 years**
* Target maturity value: **$2,000** (2X of $1,000)

After 2 years, the gold is valued at the market price on the maturity date. For example, if the user's gold is worth $1,000 at maturity:

| Component                | Value      |
| ------------------------ | ---------- |
| Gold Value               | $1,000     |
| Remaining Amount         | $1,000     |
| **Total Maturity Value** | **$2,000** |

## Important Points

* The **2X maturity return** applies to both plans
* The difference between the plans is the percentage of investment used to purchase gold
* **2-Year Plan → 25% in Gold** | **3-Year Plan → 50% in Gold**
* The gold purchased at the time of investment remains recorded against the user's staking plan until maturity

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://aurexgold.gitbook.io/aurexgold-docs/fixed-staking-plans.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
